Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 16, 2026
We want softprogrammer.com to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, use magnification, or need higher colour contrast.
Standard we aim for
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the benchmark generally applied to public-facing websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act and referenced by Section 508.
What we have done
- Text and background colours across the public site are checked against the 4.5:1 contrast minimum for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus styles.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Headings follow a logical order so a screen reader can navigate the page structure.
- Form fields have associated labels rather than placeholder text alone.
- Animation respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting.
Where we fall short
We would rather tell you what is not fixed than claim conformance we have not earned. Known limitations:
- Some interactive product demonstrations use dense data tables and drag-to-reorder interactions that are not yet fully operable by keyboard.
- A small number of icon-only controls inside those demonstrations still rely on colour or shape without a text alternative.
- Third-party components we embed, including payment and bot-protection widgets, are not under our direct control and may not meet Level AA.
These are on our list. If one of them is blocking you, tell us and we will prioritise it and give you the information another way in the meantime.
Telling us about a problem
If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, email support@softprogrammer.com with the page address and a short description of what happened. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to tell you either how we have fixed it or when we expect to.
If you need information from a page you cannot use, ask and we will send it to you in a format that works for you.
Assessment
This statement reflects our own review of the site, using a combination of automated contrast and structure checks and manual keyboard testing. It has not been audited by an independent third party.
