💰Pricing & Cost
How much does custom software cost?+
Most custom builds fall between $15k and $150k as a one-time fee, depending on scope, complexity and integrations. A simple internal tool starts around $15–25k; a fully featured ERP or multi-tenant SaaS platform can run $80–200k+. For an instant ballpark, run our cost calculator — it asks 5 quick questions and gives a transparent range.
Why are your prices lower than traditional agencies?+
Three reasons: zero middleman markup (you work directly with the team building it), a catalogue of 240+ pre-architected product templates we adapt instead of starting from scratch, and revenue-share/host options that let us amortise costs differently. We are not the cheapest option in the market — we are the most transparent.
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. Your fixed quote includes design, development, QA, deployment, and 30 days of post-launch fixes. Hosting, third-party API costs (e.g. Stripe, OpenAI, Twilio), and ongoing maintenance after the warranty period are billed separately and disclosed up front.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes. The default split is 30% on kickoff, 40% on staging, 30% on launch. For larger projects we can structure milestone-based payments tied to specific deliverables. Hosted subscription and revenue-share models have no upfront fee.
⏱️Timeline & Process
How long does a typical project take?+
Standard projects ship in 6–12 weeks from kickoff to live. Simple builds can launch in 3–4 weeks; large multi-module systems take 12–20 weeks. We respond to every scope request within 48 hours with a precise timeline.
Can you build something faster if I need it urgently?+
Yes. Our Fast track (4–8 weeks) carries a 25% surcharge and dedicated team allocation. Our Rush track (2–4 weeks) is reserved for production-critical projects and carries a 60% surcharge with daily standups.
What does the process actually look like?+
Week 1: discovery call and scope. Week 2: design mockups and architecture. Weeks 3+: weekly demo with working software. Final week: training, deployment, and handover. You see real progress every week — no black-box "trust us" months.
Do I get to talk to the engineers building my software?+
Yes. You are connected to the actual lead engineer on day one — no account-manager filter. Weekly demos are run by the people writing the code.
🤝Engagement Models
What does "Own it outright" mean?+
You pay a one-time build fee. We deliver the full source code, deployment instructions, and documentation. You own everything, deploy anywhere, and pay zero licensing fees forever. This is the right model if you have capital and want long-term independence.
How does "Subscribe and we host" work?+
You pay a monthly fee (typically 1/24th of the equivalent build cost). We host the infrastructure, handle updates, security patches, and uptime. Cancel any month — you can export your data and configuration. Best for businesses that prefer operating expense over capital expense.
How does revenue share actually work?+
No upfront cost. We build, host, and operate the software in exchange for a percentage of revenue it generates (typically 8–20%, capped at a multiple of the build cost). This is reserved for projects where revenue is reasonably forecastable and there is alignment of incentives.
Can I switch engagement models later?+
Yes. Hosted clients can buy out the code anytime at the remaining one-time-build-fee equivalent. Revenue-share clients can convert to hosted or owned once they have validated revenue.
⚙️Technology & Ownership
What tech stack do you build on?+
Most projects use TypeScript on Next.js/React with Supabase/Postgres on AWS or self-hosted infrastructure. For mobile we use React Native or Expo. For AI workloads we integrate Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or self-hosted models. We pick what is right for your project — not what is trendy.
Will I have access to the source code?+
Yes for "Own it outright" — you get a private GitHub repository with full history and admin rights. For hosted/revenue-share, the code is escrowed and released to you if the engagement ends. There is no scenario where you are locked in with no exit.
Can you integrate with our existing systems?+
Yes. Across 240+ deliveries we have integrated with virtually every common business system — Stripe, QuickBooks, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Microsoft 365, Shopify, SAP, custom ERPs and legacy databases. If it has an API or SQL access, we can connect to it.
Do you build mobile apps?+
Yes — native iOS, native Android, and cross-platform React Native/Expo. We also have our own mobile app on the App Store, so we have walked the App Store and Play Store submission process recently.
🔒Security & Compliance
Do you handle compliance work — HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR?+
Yes. We have shipped HIPAA-compliant healthcare platforms, GDPR-compliant EU applications, and software for clients in regulated industries (financial services, legal, government). Compliance scope is documented in the project brief.
Where is data stored?+
Your choice. We can deploy to AWS (your region of choice), Google Cloud, Azure, or your own on-premise infrastructure. For hosted clients we default to AWS US-West with full backup and DR.
Who owns the data?+
You always own your data. Even in hosted and revenue-share engagements, the data is yours — we provide export tools and your data never trains any third-party AI models.
🚀After Launch
What happens after the software is live?+
You get 30 days of free post-launch fixes (bugs, not new features). After that you can either take it in-house, hire us on a maintenance retainer (typical $1.5–4k/mo depending on scope), or move to our hosted plan which includes maintenance.
What if I want new features later?+
You can request feature additions anytime. We quote each addition separately as a fixed scope. If the addition is large enough we run it as a new mini-project with the same weekly demo cadence.
What if something breaks at 2am?+
Hosted clients get 24/7 uptime monitoring and a 4-hour P1 incident response SLA. Self-hosted clients can opt into the same monitoring as an add-on, or we can train your team on the runbook we ship with every project.
